Article About Mirrors and Using Them As Decorative Features
Feb 10th, 2010
In my career as a home improvement consultant I have written a number or reviews and articles about discount decorative wall mirrors. I have shared about how to use them to add some sense of space and lights into the room. Having said that let me continue sharing more of some of my tips and tricks.
Below you will read more about how to place these great pieces and change the look of your house on a very tight budget.
Mirrors are typically used to check yourself out before you go out to face the world i.e. to be sure you are dressed for the party.
However, the most widely discussed benefit of using decorative ones is their ability to create an illusion of space in the room – especially to smaller rooms. It is also know to increase natural lighting if properly placed.
There are many types of mirrors that you can choose when coming up with your decorative plans. For instance, you can opt for a oversized, Venetian, handcrafted, wall, metal, antique, wrought and full length mirror to list just a few.
So if you have a small room and you can afford to buy some mirrors use them to cover the walls. I know that most people are weary of doing this because visitors and kids have a bad habit of banging touching things around, which might dirty them. So to deal with this problem I suggest you get yourself a mirrored tile which comes with a design overlay that is etched on it.
Another alternative is to use antique bathroom mirrors on a mantle or add some mirror tile highlight on the wall – here and there.
