When I first started my foray with internet businesses, I could never ignore the bigger busines priciples that made efficent businesses work well.

Most budding marketers merely want to supplant or supplement their incomes with an income derived from affiliate marketing.

If you stop and think about it for a minute, an affiliate marketer is someone who sells products not their own and gets a salespersons’ commissions for it.  therefore, affiliate marketers are really just online salespeople working for no salary, and strictly on commissions-based pay scale.

Is being a commisons-only salesperson really the definition of a businessperson or someone who merely has the J.O.B. of being employed by someone but with no salary or benefits to be had?Maybe, if you want to only consider the downsides to being someone who only sells other people’s products.  There are also pluses to being an affilaite marketer, too.

But for now let’s talk about the one thing that all businesses have; a product.A lot of affiliate marketers won’t go to the lengths necessary to create their own products, even though it is a cornerstone behind having a true business. and is considered a major hassle ot do…the first time.

We have discussed in brief detail what true businesses are made of, but how can the affiliate marketer create something that is a real business from a glorified salesperson’s job.

Bloggers who blog for a living subsist on advertising dollars for their income plus the affiliate marketing sales, but they DO have a product and the product is their blog.  Their blog is an entity unto itself that has life to it and preforms tasks all on its own.  Once a blog becomes popular and reaches it’s critical mass, it become a form of automated marketing for the blog owner and the advertisers who are paying to display their wares on these types of sites because it has a torrent of interested traffic coming to the sites and canot be easily turned off.

The concept i’m slowly but surely trying to introduce you to is automated marketing systems as they apply to online marketing.
